Back-to-school! Save-a -girl from prostitution!
Since 2016, there has been an ongoing socio-political crisis in the North and South West Regions of Cameroon. This crisis has caused the displacement of thousands of families, raised villages to dust, and caused several towns and villages to be abandoned by their inhabitants due to insecurity. Worst of all the education of children and young people has been jeopardized, there by laying a bedrock for a generation for of illiterates. It has also opened venues for immoral behaviors among idle young women and men who have been displaced. For over 3years now, thousands of displaced children have not gone to school and hundreds have been led to prostitution as a means of survival.
SEV Foundation seeks to RESCUE some of these VICTIMS by providing back-to-school assistance for the academic year 2019/2020.
200 children at $100 a child a year at the primary school level – Schools fees and books included
50 adolescents at $200 a student – Schools fees and exercise books included
and rescue 25 girls and boys involved in prostitution at $50 a month a girl for 10 months- relocate, provide healthcare and a means to sustain themselves.
